Since starting lessons with acacia, I've improved massively in my confidence, listening skills and overall fluency. I still have a long way to go but for the first time I genuinely feel like becoming fluent is a realistic prospect. I'm now living in Spain as well, which helps with immersion and the lessons have given me the confidence to actually use the language day to day. What I enjoy the most is how tailored and natural the lessons feel. They're very free-flowing and focused on what you specifically need in that moment (it could be a mistake I make at the beginning of the lesson that shapes the rest of the lesson), whilst still having a clear structure and progression. Francisco is incredibly attentive and picks up on even subtle mistakes immediately, turning them into teaching opportunities during the lesson. There's definitely nowhere to hide from your mistakes, but in the best possible way. He also discourages defaulting back to English when it gets tough, which is key for me! All of the lesson materials are shared and organised online, so it's easy to go back and review previous classes and homework, which is always relevant to what we covered that week and really helps reinforce everything. Most importantly, lessons are varied and interesting and he's positive, encouraging and genuinely invested in helping you improve. I look forward to my lesson every week and I can clearly see the progress I'm making.

Francisco was my Dutch tutor in 2024. In a span of almost a year, I was well-equipped with the basics and foundation of the language. His systematic approach and personalized touch were key for my progress in being able to grasp the language (written, speaking, listening) at an A2 level.
